Biography

Born in Moscow, Russia, and raised in New Jersey, I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design’s Atlanta campus, majoring in Sequential Art and minoring in Storyboarding. At SCAD, I was a student ambassador and orientation assistant, as well as a background artist and colorist for several senior films, officer of the Marksmen Drawing Club and the illustration editor of the SCAD Connector.

In 2022 I finished my thesis at the Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction, Vermont, advised by Emma Hunsinger. I am a freelance comics reviewer for Publisher’s Weekly and Women Write About Comics (where I am also the manga reviews editor), and have written about comics for Shelfdust, Polygon and The Comics Journal. I am also a part-time editor at The Anime Herald and the freelance graphic designer for Labyrinth Books in Princeton.

I am the recipient of the 2022 Locher Award.

My comics have been published in the 23.5 Degrees Anthology, Wizards in Space Literary Magazine, and Women Write About Comics’s Secrets of the Goat People Volume 1.
